2Tooth Notes: Reflections on "Paradise"
By 2024, I had come a long way in my production journey. I had already developed a solid understanding of producing electronic music, and I felt very confident with my skill set. This was a completely different level of ease compared to producing a good rock song, as rock music demands a lot of technical skill and precision. At the same time, I had been conversing with a few management companies, but I quickly realized that many of them were more interested in a quick return than in growing with me and my vision.
Despite this, I was determined to move forward, and by 2024, I felt ready to get back into the game and start releasing the music I had produced. This song was part of that re-entry. It wasn’t a meticulously planned release—more like an experimental piece that I was using to gain confidence in my producing ability. By this time, on the side, I had been working hard to improve my vocal skills and was becoming more comfortable with singing and producing at the same time. While I had produced and recorded many songs up to that point, I hadn’t released or registered them yet, mainly because I was unsure about how to promote them, especially when using samples from platforms like Splice.
In 2024, I started thinking more seriously about sync licensing and music registration, realizing that I needed to get my songs out into the world. Even though I was still figuring out the details, especially around promoting and monetizing my music, I felt like my production skills had reached the next level. This track, in particular, marks a turning point. I began sharing it with people behind the scenes, getting feedback, and gaining confidence in the process.
This release represents me coming back into the music game after a period of reflection and growth. I was still figuring things out, but I knew it was time to push forward, release this song, and see where it would take me. It’s a feel-good track, one that people loved on SoundCloud when I first uploaded it, and now, in 2025, I’m re-uploading and re-releasing it as part of a sequence of my earlier work. The confidence I gained from this track is what’s driving me forward, and I’m not looking back anymore.
