Let's Go - Limited Commercial
“Let’s Go” was a track that came together quickly, driven by my growing love for dubstep and drum and bass—genres that were relatively new to me at the time but had a deep connection to my past. I was introduced to these sounds during my teenage years, when my friends would blast them in their cars with a subwoofer. I’d feel the vibrations of the music shaking the whole car as they played loud dubstep and drum and bass, and that’s when I truly began to connect with the energy these genres offer.
Growing up, I was always aggressive, and I found an outlet for that through music. While I still loved Nirvana and grunge for my hard rock fix, dubstep and drum and bass gave me a whole new way to release my aggression, but in a more physical and dance-y way. There’s something about those heavy basslines and fast-paced beats that made me want to bob my head or bop my body—it was a release that got me moving. The aggression was there, but it felt like I could channel it through the music in a way that was both intense and fun, not just raw and chaotic.
“Let’s Go” reflects that energy, imagining a future where robot armies are in battle, and humans have merged with them. It’s a high-energy track that brings together the intensity of battle and the raw physicality of electronic dance music, perfectly capturing the moment I was in when I created it.
