Good Morning - Limited Commercial
“Good Morning” is a track that brings a fresh, upbeat vibe to start your day with a blend of jazz and funk rhythms. I created this track to have that smooth, jazzy feel, mixed with a funky groove that gets you moving without overwhelming you. The vibe is relaxed yet energetic, perfect for easing into your day.
The track incorporates Nu Jazz and Jazztronica elements, giving it a modern twist while staying grounded in the classic vibes of old-school house and downtempo. The smooth flow of jazz meets the funkier, more experimental side of electronic music, creating a track that feels both timeless and fresh. It’s perfect for a morning vibe or any time you need something uplifting but still chill.
“Good Morning” is all about setting the tone for a positive and productive day, filled with good vibes and relaxed energy.
2Tooth Notes: Reflections on "Good Morning"
This track was one of the most fun I produced during that time. You can actually feel the difference in the energy compared to some of my earlier tracks. The time I made this song coincided with some big personal changes for me. I had just moved out of a tunnel I was living in and into the sunlight, metaphorically and literally. You can hear that shift in the music—this is a track that reflects me coming out of a darker time and embracing a more positive, upbeat outlook.
I was just beginning to explore country guitar at the time. While I hadn’t started my formal training yet, I was learning a bit here and there, and it was around this time that I first started to really appreciate the difference between country music and blues. Before, I had always lumped them together, especially listening to artists like John Mayer who blends both genres so seamlessly. But after diving deeper into country guitar, I realized how distinct and unique each genre is, and I began to separate them in my mind. I was really drawn to the expressiveness of country guitar, so much so that I found myself picking up the licks and the feel of the music more than anything else. This was my way of learning at that point—by copying and feeling the music.
Looking back now, I’m amazed at how I was able to replicate those guitar licks even without proper training. I was never the type to start from scratch, but I was great at copying things and trying to express the feelings behind them. This was the start of my journey into the world of country music, especially with the guitar, and it added a whole new dimension to my approach to blues, rock, and electronic music.
By this 17th release, I’d experimented with so many genres that I felt like I had to study each one, even just for a couple of hours, to understand their nuances. I began to really distinguish between different types of music—blues, jazz, funk, country, rock, electronic—and their subgenres like drum and bass, dubstep, hard rock, and more. This track reflects that phase of growth and learning.
