Danger Waiting - Limited Commercial
“Now” is a track born from my early experimentation and a passion for multicultural sound. Produced in 2018 and released in 2019, this track was never officially uploaded or promoted at the time, although it was marked as released. At the time, I wasn’t confident in sharing my music because it had so many experimental sounds, with all these different elements coming together. What I fell in love with, though, were the vocal samples, especially the ones at the beginning. I wanted the song to focus on these vocals coming together, creating something unique. I also loved the tribal sounds, like the bones rattling and raw, primal energy that they gave off.
I was living in an underground tunnel at the time, having all these spiritual experiences, and I would hear music within me. One of the sounds I would hear was the deep, tribal African influences—something so raw and connected to the earth. This inspired me to search for samples that reflected that, and from there, the track took shape. It became a showcase of how humans, starting from their tribal roots, are transitioning into an electronic future, blending the past with the present and future cultures.
For me, this track represents how the raw tribal nature of humanity can merge with electronic sounds, showing the contrast between ancient traditions and modern technology. It’s a blend of the past and the future, of cultures and sounds, existing right here and now. This concept is reflected in the world today, where there are still Aboriginal communities living in their tribal ways, disconnected from modern tech, while the world at large moves forward with digital advancements, AI, and all these modern-day innovations.
At the time, I was making the transition from a guitar and blues background to more electronic music production, and “Now” is a reflection of that shift. The track shows how I embraced this new style, moving from something raw and grounded to exploring the digital world of electronic music. It’s a vivid mix of where I came from and where I was headed at that moment.
