African Jungle - Limited Commercial

£25.00Price
  • “African Jungle” takes you on a sonic journey blending the organic feel of rock with the atmospheric vibes of downtempo and psychedelic rock. The track fuses art rock elements with experimental electronic touches, giving it a deeper, more textured sound. The grooves are grounded in classic rock and blues, blending the familiar with the experimental to create a rich and unique listening experience.

The vibe of “African Jungle” evokes the mystery and intensity of a jungle adventure, while still remaining chilled and reflective. The psychedelic influences make it feel like you’re wandering through a dream, and the downtempo beat creates a relaxed, immersive atmosphere. It’s a track meant for letting your mind wander, feeling the energy of the earth, and embracing the unknown.

2Tooth Notes: Reflections on "African Jungle"

By this 16th release as The2Tooth, I had already started producing my rock songs, even though they didn’t quite meet the quality I envisioned. After these early experiments, I made the decision not to count them as part of my 2Tooth singles but took me some more years to figure out how to release my rock songs properly/separately. But, moving forward, I focused on instrumental and bass-driven tracks under the 2Tooth name, which meant that ONLY the ISRC codes for my released tracks would be the true indicator of which songs came first, regardless of which artist or project they were created for.

I’ve always had a love for blues and rock, and that side of my career will always be a part of who I am. I feel that blues music, especially the roots blues, is what truly made me fall in love with music and guitar. It’s deeply intertwined with the African culture, which has shaped so much of Western music. This song is my homage to that influence. From the heart-wrenching acoustics of the blues to the rhythm of the African roots, it all comes together here.

By 2017, I saw how DJs were taking over, and like embracing AI now, I wanted to dive into electronic production earlier than later. It was a turning point—kids were already making hits with loops, so I had to adapt. But this track is me bridging the gap between blues and rock and the future of music, even when it sounded weird back then. Now, with platforms like YouTube, Spotify, and SoundCloud filled with so many unique sounds, I’m bringing out some of my most experimental and weird tracks.

This song is a nod to the rich African and blues culture that shaped my sound, particularly the raw power of acoustic blues. I also have to give a special shout-out to Robert Johnson, who remains a big influence.
